The 2nd day of the May Festival see the fashion stakes rising amongst the ladies on Ladies' Day, as hundreds more racegoers flock to watch more superb racing. First off are runners in the Group 3 Huxley Stakes, the highest level of race seen at Chester. Second in the order of the day is the first of two races widely acknowledged to be Epsom Derby trials. Shergar is the most famous horse to have won the Chester Vase - and then he went on to win the Derby.
